Agri Engineer: (Position: 01) based in Rangpur

Agri Engineer is responsible for manufacturing jute fibre extraction machine locally. S/he will support artisans to repair and upgrade other agro machines. S/he will assist in the implementation for designing training content and development of skill in the light engineering sector. S/he will provide technical support and co-ordinate with at least 100 metal workshops, 1000 associated artisans and 1500 vocational youth trainees for strengthening capacity of the artisans. The position will also coordinate job placement process for youths in the project.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical support to the PNGO staff, metal workshops, small jute weaving factories to Identify Jute based demand led light-engineering skills for income generation
• Work with the partners to create job opportunities through light-engineering and relevant manufacturing skills
• Ensure support to the PNGOs in organizing skill based training for higher employment opportunity and metal workshop establishment

• Duration of Contract The initial contract will be for 01 year, renewable up to 03 years subject to satisfactory performance.

  Required qualification, experience and competencies

• BSc in Agri Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering with preferably MS in Agri Engineering (Farm Power Mechanics)
• At least 08 years of experience in reputed organizations preferably having experience in INGOs in the area agricultural mechanization
• Competency in vocational training course designing and facilitation will be appreciated
• Excellent skill in networking and advocacy with stakeholders and able to demonstrate openness in sharing information and keeping people informed.
• Well conversant in English
• Report writing skill both in Bangla and English is essential

• Salary & Benefits: Monthly Gross BDT 76,000-84,000 and other benefits i.e. Festival Bonus, Gratuity, PF, Insurance coverage as per organization policy, subject to qualification and experiences
